Taking Mind & Language to the Next Level

> The MILA Center will bring together a dynamic group of outstanding young researchers recruited from the top overseas universities with state-of-the-art expertise in linguistics, life sciences, psychology and computer science for innovative joint projects

> It will create an unprecedented framework for exploring new and as yet unexplored connections between language and consciousness

Goals

To deepen understanding of the basic mechanisms connecting mind and language and consciousness and language.

02.

To apply this understanding toward the development of novel therapies and technologies for people with language disabilities ranging from aphasia and dyslexia following stroke and in developmental disorders, to autism spectrum disorders and degenerative disorders.

> What is the neural basis for these processes?

> How do these processes and neural networks develop in children?
